Another Logistics Merger

Yesterday, both Eastman Logistics and World Logistics have signed an intent for merger letter. The merger, scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, is expected to increase the non-asset based Eastman Logistics revenue nearly $10 million dollars by this time next year. It is unclear at this time what effect the merger may have on World Logistics' employees.
Reid and Jack Eastman, the owners of Eastman Logistics are expecting total revenues of approximately $30 million for 2009, Supply Chain Digital reports. World Logistics is yet to file a press release, but undoubtedly will in the days to come.
