Qualcomm and Broadcom Dismiss Patent Suits
QUALCOMM and Broadcom both agreed to dismiss patent suits this week. The suits since around patent and trade secret claims infringements brought by each other. This only a settles if you love the skirmishes in this wireless technology battle according to the Wall Street Journal today.
This particular settlement eliminates five jury trials.
Suits Dropped
- allegations that QUALCOMM violated six patents
- allegations that Broadcom and infringed upon four
This settlement has nothing to do with a larger dispute going for the international Trade Commission which has resulted in public hearings in Washington starting this Wednesday.
